The Company is Formed Several Members of Company A, 79th New York joined the Irish Brigade for the 145th Anniversary of the Battle of Fredericksburg. The weekend was filled with recreations of the approach march of the Irish Brigade, street fighting, the attack on the Sunken Road; as well as camraderie and good cheer around campfires and in the pubs. The Company participated in the dedication of Redoubt #1 in Williamsburg, Virginia Company A, 79th New York participated in the dedication of the restored Redoubt #1 in Redoubt Park in Williamsburg, Virginia. The full scale replica of the USS Monitor at the Mariners' Museum in Newport News, Virginia Company A, 79th New York participated in the dedication and opening of the USS Monitor Center at The Mariners' Museum in Newport News, Virginia.
